Taiga forest are one of the biomes most deeply affected by human causes, such as global warming and wood harvesting. Many of the taigas trees have been cut down for lumber, lowering the trees populations as well as displaying animals that depend on the trees for survival. Climbing temperatures also put the taiga at a huge risk. Since the taiga is the second coldest biome in the world, the increasing heat of the Earth makes it increasingly difficult for species to survive.
As well as climbing temperatures, pollution also poses a large problem for the taiga. The resulting chemicals from urban development contaminate the water and soil. Since the water is both a habitat for the taigas aquatic species, as well as a prime factor in the areas temperature control, this can lead to increasing heat, which can lead to the death of many species within these forests.
